Lawn Edging 20 pcs 100 x 0.5 x 15 cm Stainless Steel VidaXL
Set of 20 stainless steel lawn edging strips VidaXL, each measuring 100 x 0.5 x 15 cm, intended to form a firm border between lawn and planting beds, paths or driveways. The rigid metal profiles are designed to limit grass spread, simplify mowing and trimming, and create a neat, continuous edge for residential garden landscaping and basic lawn maintenance.
The stainless steel construction offers corrosion resistance and structural stiffness while remaining relatively thin, allowing discreet integration into planted areas. Supplied as 20 identical strips, the set enables long continuous runs or the creation of defined shapes by joining multiple pieces. The low-profile height provides an effective barrier to grass encroachment without creating a pronounced trip hazard, and the smooth metal surface eases cleaning and maintenance.
This stainless steel edging is relatively low (15 cm) and thin (0.5 cm), so it may not be appropriate where a high visual barrier or significant earth retention is required. It is not a substitute for heavy-duty retaining walls or edging intended to hold large volumes of soil or steep slopes.
Plan the edging layout and mark the intended line on the ground. Dig a shallow trench matching the height of the edging so the top edge sits at the desired level relative to the lawn. Insert each strip into the trench and ensure pieces align for a continuous border; overlap or join ends according to site requirements. Backfill soil against the outer face and compact to hold the strip in place. For curved runs, position strips with small gaps or bends as needed, taking care not to damage the metal. Regularly check alignment and recompact soil after settling.
For best results, install strips on firm, well-drained ground and check for straightness before final backfilling. Use a rubber mallet and protective padding when adjusting pieces to avoid surface marks. Clean stainless steel surfaces periodically to remove soil and organic residues that can trap moisture and debris.
