W-STAR FTP RJ45 plug FRJ45EZC5S gold plated, 100 pcs
Gold-plated W-STAR FTP RJ45 plugs model FRJ45EZC5S are supplied in a pack of 100 and designed for termination of FTP (shielded) Ethernet cables. These RJ45 plugs feature corrosion-resistant gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable signal transmission and reduce contact resistance. The compact, industry-standard form factor supports Cat5e-class installations in office, data center and home network environments where shielded connections are required.
The gold-plated contact surfaces provide enhanced corrosion resistance and stable conductivity over time, helping to preserve signal integrity in shielded cable runs. The plugs are engineered for compatibility with FTP shielded cable constructions, ensuring effective grounding and reduced electromagnetic interference when paired with appropriate cable and housing. Supplied as a bulk pack of 100, these connectors offer consistent mechanical and electrical performance across multiple terminations.
Prepare the FTP cable by stripping the outer jacket and folding back the foil and drain wire as required by the plug design. Align the individual conductors according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B) and insert them fully into the plug so each conductor seats under its respective contact. Ensure the shield/drain wire makes proper contact with the plug’s shield contact or crimp sleeve if applicable. Terminate the plug using a compatible crimping tool designed for RJ45 plugs to secure conductors and shield, then test the terminated connection with a network tester to confirm continuity and correct pair mapping.
Use a crimp tool rated for modular RJ45 plugs and, where possible, perform a continuity and shielding test after termination. For best results with shielded installations, maintain solid mechanical contact between cable shield and connector shield and avoid sharp bends at the termination point. Store unused plugs in a dry environment to protect plating and prevent contamination.
