Wantec AW4000 Network Switch Black Green
The Wantec AW4000 Network Switch Black Green is a compact Ethernet switch designed to expand wired network capacity for home and small office environments. The unit features multiple RJ-45 ports for copper Ethernet connections in a black and green enclosure that blends into modern setups. It provides a straightforward way to increase the number of available network ports, enabling stable wired connections for computers, printers, NAS devices and other Ethernet-capable equipment.
The AW4000 delivers reliable wired connectivity with a compact footprint and a durable housing. Its RJ-45 ports offer plug-and-play operation, reducing setup time and configuration complexity. The physical design in black and green provides a discreet appearance while offering visual cues for cabling. The switch supports multiple simultaneous connections to maintain stable local network traffic and helps reduce wireless congestion by moving demanding devices to wired connections.
Place the AW4000 on a stable surface near your router or existing network outlet. Connect one RJ-45 cable from your router or upstream switch to the AW4000 uplink port, then connect your devices to the remaining RJ-45 ports. Power the unit using the supplied adapter if applicable; most basic switches operate immediately once connected to power and network cables. No special configuration is required for standard Ethernet use—devices connected to the switch obtain network access through the upstream router or DHCP server.
For optimal performance, use quality Cat5e or higher Ethernet cables, keep the switch in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources, and place it on a flat surface to avoid stress on ports. If you connect devices that handle large data transfers, consider connecting them directly to the router or an uplink with sufficient bandwidth to prevent bottlenecks.
