Goobay networking cable Black 0.25 m Cat8.1 S/FTP is a short high-performance patch cord with copper conductors and a low-smoke, halogen-free (LSZH) outer sheath. Assembled on both ends with RJ45 (8P8C) connectors featuring 50 µm gold-plated contacts and latch protection, the 0.25 m cable supports modern multi-gigabit Ethernet standards and is intended for use in GHMT-certified CAT 8.1 channels when paired with the specified certified components.

Advantages

The CAT 8.1 S/FTP construction provides an overall shield with aluminium foil around each twisted pair (PiMF) and an additional aluminium braid for the cable jacket, reducing crosstalk and external interference. With a transmission bandwidth up to 2000 MHz and support for 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T, the cable offers significantly higher bandwidth than CAT 6A while remaining backwards compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T. The LSZH sheath limits smoke and hazardous gases in case of fire, and gold-plated contacts ensure reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance.
