Network patch cable Goobay CAT6 S/FTP (PiMF) 5 m white – 5‑pack
Goobay CAT6 S/FTP (PiMF) 5 m white – 5‑pack provides five prewired network patch cables designed for reliable high‑speed data transmission in home and office networks. Each cable is 5 m long and terminated with RJ‑45 straight male plugs. The S/FTP construction uses metal foil around each twisted pair (Pair in Metal Foil) plus an overall braid to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, supporting Gigabit Ethernet and higher‑speed applications where stable connections are required.
The double shielding (per‑pair foil and overall braid) increases signal integrity and reduces susceptibility to external interference. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 contacts and high‑quality copper conductors ensure low contact resistance and consistent transmission performance. Robust cable sheathing and bend protection improve mechanical durability while latch protection on the plugs reduces the risk of accidental damage during installation or maintenance. Sold as a set of five, the pack simplifies structured cabling and multiple device connections.
This CAT6 S/FTP cable set is not intended for permanent outdoor burial or direct exposure to weather without additional protective conduit or rated outdoor cabling. For applications that require certified CAT6a or CAT7 performance for reliable 10 Gbps at longer runs beyond typical patch lengths, higher‑category cables should be considered. The white/red colour options are for visual identification but do not affect electrical performance.
Plug one RJ‑45 connector into the network port of your device (PC, switch, router or patch panel) and connect the other end to the target port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages to maintain a secure connection. Route cables to avoid tight bends and run them separately from strong power sources where possible to minimise interference. For rack and patch panel installations, use cable managers to organise the five cables and avoid strain on the connectors.
For best performance, avoid sharp bends and kinks, keep patch cables separate from mains power cables, and use cable management in racks or wall setups. Replace cables showing visible wear or damaged connectors to maintain reliable network performance.
