String trimmer WOLF-Garten LYCOS E/500 T
The WOLF-Garten LYCOS E/500 T is a string trimmer designed for light to medium garden maintenance. Equipped with a 500 W AC motor and a nylon line head that accepts up to 1.6 mm cutting line, this model provides accurate edging and trimming around lawns, flowerbeds and pathways. At 2.5 kg it is lightweight for extended use and offers straightforward handling for home gardeners who need a reliable tool for regular tidying tasks.
The trimmer combines a compact, low-weight design with an electric AC power source that delivers consistent performance without the need for refuelling. Its nylon line head supports precise cutting and easy replacement of trimming line. The unit’s balanced construction and manageable weight reduce user fatigue during longer sessions. A practical colour scheme in black, metallic and red improves visibility of the tool in storage and when working.
Connect the trimmer to a suitable mains supply following the local electrical safety rules and use a residual-current device (RCD) if required. Fit the recommended 1.6 mm nylon line into the trimmer head according to the manufacturer’s instructions, check that the guard and handle are securely in place, and hold the tool with both hands while operating. Power the unit on and move the head in a steady, sweeping motion along the edge or area to be trimmed, keeping a safe distance from hard surfaces to avoid damaging the line. Turn off and disconnect from the mains before performing any maintenance, line replacement or cleaning.
For best results, use the trimmer on dry grass and avoid excessive pressure on the cutting head; allow the line to do the cutting. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, long trousers and sturdy footwear. Store the tool in a dry place and periodically inspect the power cord and guard for wear or damage.
