Yato YT-692603 carpenter's pencil set includes three 175 mm wooden pencils with an oval varnished body and a flat insert. Designed for marking and drawing on wood and wood-based materials, these pencils offer an HB hardness lead with an approximate width of 2 x 5 mm for clear, consistent lines during joinery, carpentry and general workshop tasks.
The oval, varnished wooden body resists rolling and provides a stable grip for accurate marking. The flat insert produces broad, visible lines suitable for layout and cutting guides while the HB hardness balances durability and ease of sharpening. Supplied as a set of three, the pencils cover multiple workstations or provide replacements during extended jobs.
Select a pencil from the set and sharpen the flat insert with a knife, plane-style sharpener or a suitable flat-blade pencil sharpener to expose the required width of lead. Hold the oval body between fingers to prevent rolling and mark along edges, guides or directly on workpieces. Use the flat side for broad lines and the edge for finer lines. Replace pencils from the pack as needed during longer tasks.
Store pencils in a dry place to avoid swelling or cracking of the wooden body. For precise lines, keep the flat insert well-sharpened and use a straightedge when marking long cuts. Dispose of pencil shavings and worn leads responsibly.
