Managed Switch Zyxel XMG1930-30HP L3 24x2.5G PoE 1U Black
The Zyxel XMG1930-30HP is a managed L3 Multi‑Gigabit access switch designed for environments that need more throughput than standard gigabit networks. It provides twenty-four 2.5G RJ‑45 ports for high-density access, four 10G Multi‑Gigabit ports for uplinks to WiFi 6/6E APs or 10G servers, and two 10G fiber ports for extended connectivity and resilience. The PoE model (XMG1930-30HP) supports PoE+ and PoE++ with a total power budget of 700 W, enabling deployment of power‑hungry wireless access points and other PoE devices.
The switch delivers increased per-port bandwidth with 24 native 2.5G ports while keeping a compact 1U form factor. Four 10G Multi‑Gigabit copper ports and two 10G fiber ports offer flexible uplink and aggregation options. The PoE model’s 700 W budget supports a variety of PoE standards (including IEEE 802.3at and 802.3bt) for powering WiFi 6/6E or WiFi 7 access points and other powered devices. Managed L2/L3 features and a 240 Gbit/s switching capacity make the unit suitable for enterprise and ISP edge deployments.
Mount the switch in a standard 19" rack using the included brackets. Connect endpoint devices to the 2.5G RJ‑45 ports for higher per‑user bandwidth. Use the 10G copper or SFP+ ports to link to aggregation switches, servers, or WiFi 6/6E AP controllers. If using the PoE model, verify end‑device PoE class and plan power allocation within the 700 W budget. Configure VLANs, L2/L3 routing, QoS and other managed features via the web GUI or CLI according to your network design.
For best results in mixed environments, migrate high‑density user access to the 2.5G ports while aggregating traffic over the 10G uplinks. Monitor PoE consumption when deploying multiple high‑power APs to avoid exceeding the 700 W budget; plan VLANs and QoS policies to prioritise latency‑sensitive traffic such as voice and real‑time video.
