Scotch® Super 33+™ Vinyl Electrical Tape is a professional-grade PVC insulating tape designed for primary electrical insulation and protective jacketing. The product offers moisture-tight electrical and mechanical protection, combining a flexible PVC backing with strong adhesive properties to insulate splices and jacket cables up to 600 V. This 7-mil tape performs across a wide temperature range and carries UL, CSA and VDE approvals.

Advantages

The tape’s elastic PVC backing and aggressive adhesive provide easy, moisture-tight conformation to irregular surfaces and maintain performance in both low and high temperatures without oozing or melting. It is abrasion-, corrosion- and UV-resistant, flame-retardant, and resists alkalis and acids. Certified by UL and CSA, the tape is suitable for long-term electrical insulation and protective jacketing.

How to use

Clean and dry the surface to be insulated. Cut or tear the tape to the required length and apply with slight tension, overlapping each wrap by approximately half the tape width to ensure a moisture-tight seal. For splices, start slightly before the splice and extend beyond it to provide adequate insulation and mechanical protection. Avoid stretching excessively to prevent thinning of the backing.

Usage recommendations

Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For best performance, apply within the temperature range recommended by the manufacturer and inspect installed tape periodically for signs of wear or damage in high-stress or outdoor applications.
