Double-sided Foam Adhesive Tape 3M 9515W, acrylic foam, 19 mm x 33 m
3M 9515W double-sided foam adhesive tape is a pressure-sensitive acrylic foam tape 19 mm wide and 33 m long designed for permanent bonding, mounting and gasketing applications. The closed-cell acrylic foam core conforms to irregular or slightly contoured surfaces, fills small gaps and provides vibration dampening while the high-performance adhesive offers long-term adhesion to painted metals, plastics and many other common substrates. This tape is intended for interior and protected-environment assembly tasks where a thin, resilient bonding layer is preferred over mechanical fasteners.
The tape combines conformability with consistent adhesive performance, enabling neat joints on uneven surfaces without liquid adhesives or mechanical hardware. Its acrylic foam construction offers gap-filling properties and resistance to compression set, while the pressure-sensitive adhesive provides immediate handling strength and durable shear resistance. The product is easy to die-cut, hand-apply or use with automated dispensing, and it leaves a discrete bonded joint with low visible profile.
Ensure both bonding surfaces are clean, dry and free of oil, dust or loose particles. For best results, clean with isopropyl alcohol and allow surfaces to dry. Cut the tape to the required length, remove the liner, and apply using firm pressure to establish full contact; roll or press along the bonded area to maximize adhesive wet-out. Allow a dwell time for adhesive development before subjecting the bond to load—initial tack provides handling strength but full adhesive strength develops over time. For continuous manufacturing use, this tape is compatible with die-cutting and automated application systems.
Test adhesion on representative substrates before full production to confirm compatibility, surface preparation needs and expected environmental performance. Avoid use on rough porous surfaces or in unprotected outdoor exposures without confirming long-term suitability.
