Mini Circuit Breaker ABB SH201-C10A 1P C-curve 10 A 6 kA
ABB SH201-C10A is a single-pole mini circuit breaker with a C tripping characteristic, rated for 10 A nominal current and a breaking capacity of 6 kA. The device is intended for overload and short-circuit protection in residential and light commercial electrical installations and is compatible with standard DIN-rail mounting. Its compact 1P design provides circuit isolation and automatic protection for lighting, socket circuits and small appliance feeders.
The SH201-C10A offers precise thermal-magnetic tripping behavior appropriate for general-purpose circuits with moderate inrush currents. Its C-curve characteristic provides selective response to short-circuit conditions while avoiding nuisance trips from normal motor or transformer start-up currents. The compact housing and DIN-rail compatibility simplify installation in distribution boards, and the clear current rating marking facilitates circuit identification and maintenance.
This 1-pole, 10 A breaker is not suitable where three-phase protection or higher continuous currents are required. It is not intended for circuits with exceptionally high fault currents beyond its 6 kA breaking capacity. For applications that need coordinated selectivity with other protective devices or specialized protection functions (such as earth-leakage protection, adjustable time delays or motor protection with thermal overload curves), a different device or additional protective equipment may be necessary.
Install the circuit breaker on a standard DIN-rail inside the distribution board, ensuring correct orientation and secure mechanical engagement. Connect the line conductor to the input terminal and the load conductor to the output terminal, tightening terminals to the manufacturer’s recommended torque. Use the breaker as the overcurrent protective device for a single phase circuit; switch it to OFF before performing any maintenance on the downstream circuit. After installation, verify operation by switching the breaker ON and OFF and by testing under expected load conditions while observing applicable electrical safety practices and local regulations.
Use this breaker for general circuit protection in residential and light commercial panels where a C-curve 10 A rating matches the connected load. Coordinate with upstream and downstream protective devices to achieve selectivity and verify that fault level and installation environment meet the breaker’s specifications.
