Fibre optic cable BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-4LC-OM3-10M-BO — MTP to 4× LC/LC, OM3, 10 m, LC/APC, 50 µm
BlueOptics CBL-MTP12-4LC-OM3-10M-BO is a multimode fibre optic trunk cable with an MTP(MTP12) connector on one end and four LC duplex terminations on the other end. The cable uses OM3 laser-optimized multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and LC/APC polish, and measures 10 metres in length. It is designed for high-density environments such as data centre interconnects, InfiniBand links and short- to medium-range multimode connections where low insertion loss and reliable multimode performance are required.
The cable provides low-loss multimode transmission and is built for high-density patching scenarios where a single MTP interface needs to break out to multiple LC ports. A 50 µm OM3 fibre core supports typical multimode applications and higher-speed short-reach links. The LC/APC polish and quality ferrules reduce return loss and improve connection stability. The 10 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patchpanel routing in server rooms and telecommunications closets.
Route the cable between the MTP trunk port and the target patch panel or equipment so that the MTP connector mates with the designated MTP bulkhead or harness. Connect the LC duplex terminations to the corresponding LC transceiver ports or patch panel adapters, ensuring correct polarity and secure latching of connectors. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer. Secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors and to preserve optical performance.
Inspect connectors before installation and clean endfaces using a fibre cleaning tool to reduce insertion loss. Use labelled fibre routing and managed patch panels to keep MTP-to-LC breakouts organised. For critical links, verify end-to-end loss with an optical power meter and reference test source or request factory test reports where provided.
