Electrical enclosure accessory Hager ADA906D, AC input 240 V
Hager ADA906D 1+N residual-current circuit breaker combines earth-leakage detection with overcurrent protection in a single compact device. Rated for 6 A with a B-type tripping curve and 30 mA residual current sensitivity (Type A), this RCBO is designed for installation in residential and light-commercial distribution boards to protect sockets, lighting circuits and connected appliances from leakage currents, short circuits and overloads.
The unit integrates residual-current and short-circuit/overload protection, reducing the number of separate devices required in a distribution board and simplifying wiring. A 1+N pole design allows neutral disconnection together with the phase, and the B-characteristic provides reliable tripping for circuits with low inrush currents such as general lighting and household sockets. Sensitivity to 30 mA residual current offers personal protection against indirect contact while permitting correct operation with AC and pulsating DC fault currents typical for modern appliances.
Install the RCBO in a compatible DIN-rail distribution board according to local wiring regulations and manufacturer installation instructions. Connect the phase conductor to the designated phase terminal and the neutral conductor to the neutral terminal so the device interrupts both poles. Ensure correct upstream coordination with main protective devices and verify the rated current and characteristic match the protected circuit. After wiring, test the residual-current trip function using a suitable test button or test device and perform standard commissioning checks before energizing connected loads.
Use this device for circuits where combined leakage and overload protection is required. Avoid installing in environments with significant dust, moisture or corrosive atmospheres without appropriate enclosure protection, and coordinate with upstream protection for selectivity. Periodically test the residual-current function to verify continued protection.
