MetzConnect 130B117003-E is a grey wall-mounted RJ-45 socket outlet designed for indoor Ethernet installations with IP20 protection. The unit provides a fixed Cat.6A-compatible RJ45 port in a compact 1HP width for mounting on TH35 rails in electrical distribution panels, enabling professional termination of network cabling for office, server room and residential environments. The module includes an integrated dust protection cover and a protective cover against direct contact; when installed in panels with protective insulation it meets protection class II.

Advantages

The outlet uses a C6Amodul 180° RJ45 individual module with IDC termination for easy and reliable connection of solid and stranded conductors (AWG 26/1 to 22/1 and AWG 26/7 to 22/7). It is GHMT-certified for Cat.6A performance and tested beyond standard limits (component up to 600 MHz, link up to 800 MHz), supporting class EA up to 500 MHz and 10 GBit Ethernet. The design allows migration to 25G systems without special tools and supports Remote Powering (PoE, PoE+, UPoE and 4PPoE) as well as HDBaseT. A printed conductor assignment (T568A/T568B) on the stuffer cap simplifies wiring, while the 45° cable feed and 45° plug direction improve cable management in distribution panels.

How to use

Mount the unit on a TH35 DIN rail inside the electrical distribution panel. Prepare the data cable and terminate conductors using the insulation displacement connectors according to the printed T568A or T568B assignment on the stuffer cap. Insert the cable from the top at a 45° angle and connect the RJ-45 patch cable downward. Ensure the equipotential bonding spring or integrated equipotential plate is connected when the module is installed as a protection class I device; remove the bonding spring if the module is mounted in a panel that provides protective insulation and requires protection class II.

Usage recommendations

Use compatible Cat.6A or higher-rated patch cables and follow building equipotential bonding regulations when installing multiple modules. Keep the dust protection cover closed until the port is used to maintain performance and prevent contamination.
