MetzConnect 130B13-E is a modular RJ-45 wire connector in a silver, metal-coloured housing designed for professional Ethernet cabling. The compact, one-piece zinc die-cast module provides a standard RJ-45 interface for structured cabling, patch panels and device connections. The connector accepts solid and stranded conductors and offers tool-free mounting with an integrated strain relief and an intelligent stuffer cap for reliable conductor alignment and termination.

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer sheath to the recommended length and fan out the pairs. Arrange conductors to the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B) using the assignment printed on the stuffer cap. Insert conductors into the IDC positions in the stuffer cap and press to terminate; the strain relief snaps directly onto the cap without special tools. After termination, snap the module into the target patch panel or keystone plate and connect the RJ-45 plug of the network device. Verify link and performance with appropriate test equipment where required.

Usage recommendations

For reliable Cat.6A performance, use compatible shielded or unshielded cabling rated for the desired frequency range and follow recommended cable preparation lengths. Perform continuity and performance tests after installation to confirm signal quality and PoE delivery capability.
