Connect the utnserver Pro to your LAN using a standard Ethernet cable and allow the device to obtain an IP address via BOOTP or DHCP, or assign a static IP through your network management tools. Install the SEH UTN Manager software on the client workstation you intend to use; the software will locate the utnserver Pro on the network and enable creation of virtual USB connections. Plug the USB peripheral into the utnserver Pro, then use the UTN Manager to map the networked USB device so it appears and functions like a locally attached device. The device supports operation across LAN, VPN, VLAN and in virtualized or server-based environments.

Usage recommendations

For consistent performance, use quality Ethernet cabling and place the device within the same network segment or routed/VLAN configuration that your client workstations use.
