Multi cable Q-LANTEC KML5001: 2x U/UTP Cat5e + 2x RG6 coax + 2x FO G.657.A1, LSOH, 500 m, grey
The Multi cable Q-LANTEC KML5001 combines multiple transmission media in a single LSOH-sheathed assembly: two U/UTP Cat5e twisted-pair data cores, two RG6 coaxial cores for RF or video distribution, and two single-mode optical fibres compliant with G.657.A1. Supplied on a 500 m drum in grey, this multi cable is designed for structured network installations where copper, coax and fibre need to be routed together while maintaining low-smoke, halogen-free outer jacket properties for indoor use.
This multi cable reduces installation complexity by integrating Ethernet, coaxial and single-mode fibre channels into one lightweight, space-saving cable. The LSOH jacket minimizes smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire, improving safety in confined or public spaces. Using G.657.A1 fibres ensures improved bend performance and compatibility with single-mode systems, while U/UTP Cat5e pairs provide reliable data transmission for Fast Ethernet and PoE-limited applications. RG6 coaxial cores support TV, satellite and RF signals without separate cabling runs.
Route the multi cable through conduits or cable trays to the intended distribution points. Terminate the U/UTP Cat5e pairs on appropriate RJ45 keystone jacks or patch panels following standard Cat5e wiring schemes. Connect RG6 coaxial cores to F-type or BNC connectors as required by the video/RF equipment. Splice or terminate the G.657.A1 fibres using appropriate single-mode connectors or fusion splicing procedures, observing fibre handling and cleanliness best practices. Maintain bend radii recommended for G.657.A1 fibres during installation and secure the cable to avoid strain on terminations.
Observe manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius for the entire cable assembly and individual optical fibres; avoid sharp bends, crushing and excessive tensile loads. For fibre terminations use certified tools and fusion splicing or pre-polished connectors to ensure low insertion loss. Keep U/UTP pairs separated from high-voltage power lines during routing; where PoE is used verify power budget against Cat5e limits. For installations in enclosed or public spaces, the LSOH jacket meets low-smoke and halogen-free requirements but confirm local fire and building codes prior to installation.
