The Silex DS-700 Ethernet Wired USB Powered Adapter enables connection and sharing of USB devices over a network. By converting a USB device port to a network port, the DS-700 lets printers, scanners, disk drives, card readers and other USB peripherals be placed anywhere on the network instead of being attached directly to a computer. The adapter supports USB 3.0 SuperSpeed for higher data bandwidth over a gigabit Ethernet LAN and is powered via USB for flexible installations.

Advantages

The DS-700 provides higher transfer speeds than legacy USB 2.0 device servers thanks to its USB 3.0 SuperSpeed port, supports isochronous transfers for devices such as webcams and USB speakers, and functions as a network print server with LPR and RAW printing support. It supports device sharing across two isolated networks and includes SX Virtual Link software for managing access to shared USB devices.
