Network Switch TRENDnet TI-BG5091 8-port 10/100/1000/2.5G with PoE++
The TRENDnet TI-BG5091 8-port 10/100/1000/2.5G network switch with PoE++ support is designed for small offices, remote sites and edge deployments that require a mix of gigabit and multi-gigabit connections with power over Ethernet. This compact switch provides eight RJ45 ports that support 10/100/1000 Mbps and 2.5G speeds while delivering PoE++ power to compatible devices, enabling simplified cabling and centralized power delivery for access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones.
The switch combines multi-gig performance and PoE++ capability in a single unit, allowing high-bandwidth devices to operate without separate power adapters and reducing installation complexity. Its support for 2.5G on copper helps accommodate faster wireless access points and networked storage without requiring new cabling. The unit is suitable for compact deployments where port density, mixed-speed connectivity and PoE power are required together.
Install the TRENDnet TI-BG5091 near your network core or at the edge where connected devices are located. Connect the switch to your router or upstream switch using an appropriate Ethernet cable to take advantage of multi-gig capacity. Plug client devices such as workstations, wireless access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones into the RJ45 ports; PoE++ capable devices will receive power over the same cable when supported. The unmanaged design requires no configuration—devices are ready to use once connected and powered.
For optimal performance, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cabling to support 2.5G links and ensure PoE power delivery. Verify device PoE class compatibility and total power budget when connecting multiple high-power devices. Place the switch in a well-ventilated area and connect the uplink to a router or core switch that can handle aggregated bandwidth from the multi-gig ports.
